I consider The X-Files to be one of the smartest and most well made shows in the history of the medium. This was also my first attempt at painting with the computer. I think it's not too bad.

Self Portrait

This is my attempt at self caricature. I thought it was reasonably successful.

Thoughts

Hi,
This is my first attempt at a blog. I don't know if anyone will be interested but I'm going to do it anyway. It's just a place to foist my personal feelings and opinions. I don't know if that's of any interest or not.
There are a few things that interest me. Mainly movies. Anyone who knows me will account for this. I've loved them since I went to see a certain space movie when I was nine years old.
Things like space travel and nuclear war fascinate me. So does writing and drawing. I'm a big fan of caricature. Sebastian Kruger and Mort Drucker are my personal heroes. Speaking of personal heroes they also include two other people. George Lucas may have copped a bit of flak of late for his Star Wars prequels but I think people get too het up over these things. What that man has done for film both with what's on the screen and the behind the scenes, is absolutely remarkable. There has never been an innovator like him since Walt Disney. Second, Neil Armstrong remains the one person I'd like to meet in the world. People may think that he was lucky to be first but he was more than that. Read his biography First Man to see what a truly remarkable human being he was.
Anyway that's just a small dose of my thinking process. Thanks,
John
